Thank You, Howard County Police Department

As the United States erupts into protest and civil unrest following the death in police custody of yet another unarmed African American man, we in Howard County can be proud of the following unambiguous statement issued by our local police department:

The expression of this kind of sentiment, with this level of clarity, by a local police department is not something we can take for granted in 2020.

If you agree with this, please take a moment to call them at their non-emergency number at (410) 313-2200. Let them know that we value their public commitment to equal protection under the law.

Hearing thanks from the people that they serve can only help to reinforce the positive, public commitment they are making at such a critical time.

Thank you.
